Butterfly show

...it's Bobviously the most Bobnoxious blog full of Bobscure (but not Bobscene) photos complimented by Bobtuse, Bobsessive, and Bobsolete rantings. A literal and visual Bobservatory into the Bobstinate world of Bob.

I remember playing ball when I was 11 years old for the Mt. Carmel Creamy Whip. The year before we were undefeated and half-way through this season we were as well until we finally got beat by Ora and his team (The Warriors) in a high-scoring game 19-18. He stopped our late rally and for the first time in a year and a half, the Creamy Whip were whipped. After the game Coach Bublitz took us to second base and gave us a talk I won't ever forget. He asked us how it feels to lose again? We said, "awful". He quickly informed us that in the grand scheme of things this game mattered none at all and by a couple of days everyone here will have forgotten that we lost. He then told us to go home and have fun the rest of the day. We did, but then a few days later we were treated to a little reminder of the loss when the local paper (The Community Journal) ran a front-page photo of Ora throwing a pitch in his victory against us. So much for nobody remembering the loss in a few days...ha! I've known Ora since we were about 4 years old and up to that point we had always been on opposite baseball and bowling teams. The following year Ora was on our team and we went on to win a few more championships with Kevin, Kevin, Dave, and the cast of characters that made up Battelle's and Alpha Productions! Ah, the boys of summer!

I had to work a public meeting a few days ago where we were gathering input from the citizenry on a new plan we are developing. Mostly, those meetings are spent trying to refute unfounded rumors of how we planners are trying to take over the world. This one was no different. Once people were given the chance to pick our brains they left feeling better about the process. Misinformation must cause many a sleepless night. If you are in doubt as to what's going on in any aspect of public service, call the source and talk to them. Hopefully you'll get the no-spin scoop and feel better about the situation. On a side note, I think this is the first photo of me with reading glasses on...yikes!
